LED BOXES

The TESS LED Light Box System offers the most up to date display for backlit images in all areas of the hospital.  Designed, patented and assembled in the USA it features the most accurate and longest LED bulb warranty in the industry. This is the thinnest (1” profile), most robust LED Panel on the market today, offering incredibly bright light and even light distribution.

The TESS LED box, made of all nonferrous components is compatible for the MRI setting for either wall or ceiling applications.  It will not cause RF noise.  For MRI applications, the power supplies go in the wiring closet, on the other side of the MRI shield, through an existing “filter”.

Likewise these LED light boxes can be utilized in any other area of the hospital or free standing center where the facility is looking for a unit with long life, low heat ‘green’ power consumption and easy install.

After consultations with Steve Wood, RRT, CHT, committee chair for Hyperbaric Medical Society, TESS has adapted its LED light box system for Hyperbaric Suites. These LED boxes comply with the sensitive requirements and guidelines being established by Hyperbaric Medical Society, the AIA and the Department of Health to eliminate fluorescent fixtures in these chambers.


The TESS LED Light Box System Basics:

    Like all light sources, LEDs decline over time and show either a blackened area where a bulb has diminished or a bluish tint within the box as the brightness declines.  There is normally a 30% decline before it is first noticeable to the human eye.  Unlike competitor’s boxes, this DOES NOT happen with the TESS LED Boxes which will maintain their overall brightness with no color degradation.

    Most competitors utilize components available on the open market, including LED bulbs with loose tolerance.  The TESS LED Light Boxes use only aircraft grade aluminum and the highest quality electronics available on the market.  TESS chooses only the bulbs from their suppliers that do not vary in brightness or tint between batches.

    All other competitors overall light box depth varies between 2 ½”-9” thick.  The TESS LED Boxes for wall or ceiling have a 1” profile.

    Competitor’s can only warranty approximately 10,000 hours with ON/OFF.  The TESS LED Light Boxes can guarantee 2 years 24/7 lighting.

    Competitor ’s offer stock sizes for their wall and ceiling units.  TESS custom builds all standard sizes, and with enough lead time can create custom built sizes at an additional cost.  Standard sizes for wall or ceiling for the TESS units include: 2’ x 4’; 4’ x 4’ 4’ x 6’; 4’ x 8’; 3’ x 4’; 3’ x 5’.

    The TESS Led Boxes are easy to install and do not require an electrician in most cases.  Detailed wiring diagram and instructions will be sent with the units.
